APS Back To School Bash 2K16
THE VILLAGE IS ON THE MOVE…
On July 30, 2016, Atlanta Public Schools held its second annual Back To School Bash at the World Congress Center. Many students, parents, and families of Atlanta, GA and the Metro Area were in attendance at this great event.
Over 5,000 school backpacks and school supplies were given to parents and students by the Atlanta Public School system and APS sponsors. Cordially invited by Dr. K. C. Young and APS, K.D.K. Saving Our Youth was honored to have the opportunity to volunteer at the Back To School Bash.
In volunteer spirit with A.P.S., K.D.K. aided this effort to uplift the community and ensure our youth had a great start to their school year. Every smile and thank you was assurance that needs were met and that the positive energy will carry into classrooms.
K.D.K. would like to sincerely thank Dr. K.C. Young of Women of Power and APS Superintendent Dr. Meria Joel Carstarphen, Ed.D, for allowing our organization to volunteer in such an amazing event and charitable effort.
