The Village For Kids Program supplements the dreadfully insufficient State funding and Federal entitlements to the children we serve with direct financial assistance. K.D.K. provides funds to address Basic Essential Needs, such as food, clothing, rent/utility assistance, furniture, transportation, etc.; Educational Needs such as school uniforms, tutoring, school supplies, after school care, etc.; and Social and Enrichment Needs such as extracurricular activities, camp, senior year activities, and much more.
The Village For Kids Program also funds the following projects:
Expressive Art Tunnel Workshop (E.A.T. Workshop)
Expressive Art Tunnel Workshops offer enrichment opportunities to children in areas such as photography, painting, poetry and song writing. The workshops are designed to offer a pipeline driven step plan to the youth as means to heal the pain of their difficult lives, gain a sense of control, find a positive outlet for self-expression and enhance their sense of well-being.Also, providing a platform to magnify and elevate their business ingenuity,to find ways to distribute and profit from life skills they are taught.
Back To School Event
As part of our Villiage For Kids Program, K.D.K. partners with local corporations, local communities, small business and local celebrities and execs of all calibers to provide approximately 600 impoverished youth with school uniforms and essential clothing. Also, provides the children backpacks with school supplies.
Under One Roof Village Program, started in 2015, provides motivated but disadvantaged youth and young adults with the funding and other support needed to successfully attend and graduate from college in order to become healthy and productive adults and contributing community members.
The K.D.K. Annual Holiday Jam N’ Drive, created in 2014, has benefited thousands of children in Miami-Dade’s and Atlanta’s inner city communities. This community-wide effort ensures that children in the woefully insufficient resource impoverished communites, receive a gift during the holiday season. There are many ways to be involved in the Annual Holdiay Jam N’ Drive: Donate, Sponsor a Child, and Start a Collection.
